2011 International Year of Forest

YEAR 2001 WAS DECLARED INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF FOREST BY THE UNITED NATIONS in order to inform people about the importance of protecting forest.

31% of the land area is covered by forests. Some of these areas are highly under threat by desforestation.

O ano 2011 foi declarado polas Nacións Unidas Ano Internacional dos Bosques para concienciar a xente sobre a importancia de protexer os bosques.

O 31% da superficie terrestre está cuberta polos bosques. Pero parte de esta superficie está en serio perigo de desforestación.

This year we want to dedicate "Day of the book" to trees because it is the material we use to give expression to all those fantastic, incredible, and amazing stories people wrote around the world.So, we decided to plant very special trees in order to do something to save our future.

Becouse it´s time to stop talking and start planting.
